I got a new job lined up and came into work today (kinda) ready to put in my notice. I’ve been shitting bricks all day and my heart has been in my throat...but I finally sat down with my boss to let him know. It went surprisingly well.
There were some projects I was concerned about leaving during but the stars aligned and changed the timing so my absence won’t be as bad as it could have been. I feel bad because this has been my first job out of school and has taught me so much (not to mention how great everyone is) but it was time for a change.
My commute will be longer but I’ll be moving in a few months to counter it a little. I’m hoping this will be a fresh new start and way to get things going in a positive direction.
Focus RS...because it’s awesome.

Send a letter thanking them for being you first! It’ll make you feel good. Ive kept a good relationship with all my old bosses that way, cause you never know when you’ll need something.

I sat down with my boss, talked with him, thanked him, gave him a letter afterwards.
It went well. The program has grown a lot while I was there and we were both just happy we were able to experience it
